PLYMOUTH, N.H.--The Maine Maritime Academy women's swimming and diving squad celebrated its first event of 2025 in style with a sweep at the Plymouth State University tri-meet, defeating the host PSU Panthers, 136-123, and UMass-Dartmouth (137.5-108.5) at PSU Natatorium on Thursday evening.

Rayelle Brewer led the way by accounting for three victories in the 100-yard butterfly in 1 minute and 10.71 seconds, 500-freestyle in 5:58.96 and 200-free relay as the anchor leg in 1:54.34.

Eva Schulz also contributed to the 200-free relay win.
Kopeck also earned a first place in 1-meter diving with 175.35 points.
Maine Maritime also saw runner-up showings in the 200-medley relay by the MMA "A" team of sophomore

Kylie Cantlon in 2:12.42; 200-free by MacDonald in 2:28.55; 50-breaststroke by Zhukov in 38.73 seconds; 50-free by Kopeck in 28.60; 50-backstroke by Kopeck in 31.62; and 100-individual medley by MacDonald in 1:12.75.
The Mariners hit the pool again on Saturday at the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine, with a noon start.
