SAAC Awards Banquet

Maine Maritime honored its student-athletes at the annual Student-Athlete Advisory  Committee Athletics Banquet in the Alfond Student Center Tuesday evening. Courtney Dufour and Benjamin Russell were honored as the Senior Scholar Athletes and Leah Jackson and Russell took home the Athlete of the Year awards for 2012-13.

Dufour is a four-year member of the women's basketball team and owns a 3.6 GPA. The Scheel Scholarship recipient tied the program's record for threes in a game with seven this season and averaged 7.0 points per game last season.

Jackson earned her second consecutive Athlete of the Year award.
