READING, Pa. — The Maine Maritime Academy women's wrestling team returned to the mat on Sunday competing at the Golden Wolves Alvernia Open hosted by Alvernia University.
Sophomore
Daniela Myers finished 1-2 on the day for the Mariners, picking up a 16-6 win.
Junior
Isa Thesing added a pair of victories, winning both decision by fall and finishing 2-2 on the day.
Freshman
Mary Smith also finished 2-2 for MMA, winning her first two matches of the day to advance to the semifinals.
Additionally, freshman
Kelly Malcolm, sophomore
Kylie Coxon and senior
Piper Baumgarten wrestled for the Mariners.
Maine Maritime returns to the match on Jan. 11 when it travels to Alfred State College for the Pioneer Invite at 9 a.m.
