ANNAPOLIS, Md. – After three days of swimming, Maine Maritime Academy's men's swimming finished in a four-way tie for 14
th place at the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships hosted by Navy. The Mariners scored 20 points to tie with Army, George Washington University, and Husson University.
The Mariners foursome of
Aidan Burke,
Ryan Maher,
John Markillie and
Carson Trout combined for a 3:17.55 in the 400-yard free relay to grab 14
th place points on the final day of competition. Baruch took the B Final in 3:05.35, while Columbia University won the event in 3:00.08.
Navy ran away with the meet title, followed by Columbia and Bucknell. The championship meet wraps up the season for Maine Maritime. The men won the North Atlantic Conference Title for the third-straight season and captured the Metropolitan Conference title in the first combined Metro/NAC meet.
