ORONO--The Maine Maritime Academy men's and women's swimming & diving teams made their 2024-25 season debut Friday on the road against NCAA Division I UMaine at Stanley M. Wallace Pool.

The Mariners were led by sophomore Oliver Cox who took first place in men's 1-meter diving with 207.0 points, besting the second-place finisher by almost 40 points.

On the women's side, junior Rayelle Brewer led Maine Maritime with a fourth-place showing in the 50-yard freestyle in 26.99 seconds.

Maine Maritime is next in action on Sunday (Noon) at the Husson University Relays in Bangor.
