BIDDEFORD, Maine – Maine Maritime Academy men's swimming and diving team earned a win over the University of New England by a score of 178-16.
 
Men's Team Highlights:

• Carson Trout placed first in the 50 yard free (22.40) and 100 yard free (49.40).
• Jay Creegan placed first in the 200 yard free with a time of 1:55.64.
• John Driscoll placed first in the 50 yard back (28.66).
• In the 50 yard breast, Aidan Burke placed first touching the wall at 29.73. Burke also placed first in the 100 yard breast (1:06.11). Lastly, Burke placed first in the 100 yard IM with a 1:01.70 time.
• In the 100 yard fly, Ponce Saltysiak placed first (58.04).
• John Markillie finished the 100 yard back in 58.17, placing first.
• Ryan Maher brought the Mariners another first place finish in the 50 yard fly (26.46).

Up Next: The Mariners return to the pool next week on Saturday, Jan. 20 at Saint Joseph's College of Maine.
