CASTINE, Maine — The Maine Maritime Academy volleyball team capped a perfect weekend at home Sunday, defeating SUNY Cobleskill 3-0 in North Atlantic Conference action and holding on for a five-set win over St. Norbert College 3-2.
Maine Maritime (12-5, 3-0 NAC) opened Sunday's tri-match with a 25-10, 25-19, 25-7 victory over SUNY Cobleskill (2-14, 1-3 NAC), hitting .704 in the third set to remain unbeaten in conference play.

Ally Hadley led the Mariners with 12 kills, while junior
Sydney Williams added eight in the final set and senior
Sophia Biggie contributed seven. Junior
Bre Kerr posted a team-high four aces, senior
Ila Smith recorded two blocks, and senior
Hunnie Zuber-Stephens tallied 36 assists and eight digs. Sophomore
Hannah Tate finished with a game-high 12 digs.
In Sunday's finale, Maine Maritime battled St. Norbert (16-6) in a five-set thriller. The Green Knights took the opening set 25-19, but the Mariners rebounded with a 25-20 win in the second to tie the match. Maine Maritime claimed the third set 25-19 to take a 2-1 lead, but St. Norbert forced a fifth set with a 25-20 win in the fourth.
In the deciding frame, the Mariners built an early 5-2 lead, extended it to 10-5, and held on for a 15-10 victory to finish the weekend unbeaten.
Williams finished with a game-high 19 kills, Hadley added 16, and Smith contributed 15. Zuber-Stephens recorded six aces and a career-high 48 assists, surpassing her previous mark of 45 set against St. Norbert on Saturday. Kerr posted a match-high four blocks, followed by Biggie with three.
Hadley recorded a 16-kill, 16-dig double-double, Tate added 16 digs, and Zuber-Stephens completed a double-double with 11 digs.
Maine Maritime returns home Tuesday for an in-state matchup against the University of Maine at Fort Kent at 6 p.m.
