CASTINE, Maine – Mariners volleyball win their sixth straight game and stay perfect in North Atlantic Conference play with a 3-0 win over VTSU Lyndon this afternoon.
Katie Albritton had a strong showing for the Mariners leading the way with eight service aces and 15 assists.
The Mariners went on a seven point run in the first set that included three kills by
Sydney Williams and a kill by Hunnie Zuber Stephens. Mariners won the first set 25-7.
In the second set after Lyndon scored the first point, MMA had the next 13 points unanswered. The Mariners won this set 25-3.
Chloe Weeks, who tied leading the team in kills with six, started the third set with a kill.
Ila Smith got the final kill of the third set fir the Mariners to win 25-5. Smith was the other leader in kills, also ending with six.
MMA plays again tomorrow against VTSU Johnson at 1:00 PM at home.
