CASTINE, Maine -- Maine Maritime Academy women's swimming & diving fell to Husson University (170.50-64.50) and the University of New England (130-107) in a virtual double dual meet on Friday and Saturday.
- Megan Durrua (Point Pleasant Beach, N.J.) took the top spot in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:09.65 and the 100 yard IM with a time of 1:10.01. Durrua placed second in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 59.45
- Milo Cook-Sharp (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) took second in the 500 yard freestyle (6:15.49)
The men's team swept Husson University (123-122) and the University of New England (164-36).
- The relay team of Cameron Sprott (Hampton, Va.), Liam Naturale (Dingman's Ferry, Pa.), John Markillie (Richland, Wash.) and Jace Chouinard (North Fort Myers, Fla.) took first in the 200 yard medley with a time of 1:45.63
- Chouinard took the top spot in the 50 yard backstroke with a time of 28.20
- Naturale finished first in the 50 yard breaststroke with a time of 30.51
- Sprott claimed the top spot in the 100 yard butterfly with a time for 56.81, followed closely by Markillie in second (57.90)
- Chouinard finished first in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 50.78, followed by teammate Patrick McEneaney (Suffolk, Va.) in second, with a time of 52.75
- Sprott took first in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 57.72, while teammate John Gilpin (Portsmouth, R.I.) took second with a time of 1:05.42
- Chouinard capped off his impressive collegiate debut for the Mariners , taking first in the 50 yard butterfly with a time of 25.68
