NORTHFIELD, Vt. – Maine Maritime Academy women's swimming and diving lost their season opener to Norwich University 165.5-88.5, on Saturday afternoon at Goodyear Pool.
Meet Highlights:
- Relay team of Liza Zhukov (Barrington, R.I.), Megan Durrua (Point Pleasant Beach, N.J.), Milo Cook-Sharp (Cape Elizabeth, Maine), Sam Durkin (Green Lane, Penn.) placed second in the 400 yard medley relay (4:44.81)
- Zayna Dickson (Urbandale, Iowa) finished second in the 1000 yard free (12:52.72), while Eva Schulz (Evergreen, Colo.) placed third (12:58.32)
- Zhukov took second in the 50 yard back (32.26)
- Ellie Gellerson (Blue Hill, Maine) finished second in the 50 yard breast (36.66), while Kaitlyn Reny (Lewiston, Maine) finished tied for third (38.23)
- Cook-Sharp finished second in the 200 yard butterfly (2:53.17)
- Durkin finished third in the 50 yard free (29.52)
- Durrua placed second in the 100 yard free (1:00.72)
- Zhukov set a school record in the 200 yard back placing second (2:32.82)
- Cook-Sharp placed first in the 200 yard breast (2:59.27), while Gellerson finished third (2:59.48)
- Durrua finished second in the 500 yard free (6:01.09), while Dickson placed third (6:10.82)
- Schulz took third 50 yard butterfly (33.55)
- Durra placed third in the 200 yard IM (2:39.38)
- Relay team of Durkin, Natasha Kopeck (Manchester Center, Vt.), Schulz and Dickson set a school record and placed first overall in the 400 yard free relay (3:51.89)
