DANBURY, Conn. – Maine Maritime Academy women's swimming fell to Western Connecticut State University 139-107, on Sunday morning in the William A. O'Neill Athletic & Convocation Center.
Meet Highlights:
- Relay team of Roxanna MacGregor (Eastport, Maine), Ellie Gellerson (Blue Hill, Maine), Makena Merideth (Port Angeles, Wash.), Avery Nelson (Dover-Foxcroft, Maine) placed second in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 2:24.16.
- Milo Cook-Sharp (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) placed second in the 1000 yard free with a time of 13:01.61.
- Kaitlyn Reny (Lewiston, Maine) won the 200 yard free with a time of 2:22.29.
- MacGregor placed second in the 50 yard back with a time of 37.03, while Meredith placed third with a time of 37.27.
- Cook-Sharp finished third in the 50 yard breast with a time of 38.11.
- Reny won the 100 yard free with a time of 1:15.08, while Tamra Miller (South Thomaston, Maine) placed third with a time of 1:17.76.
- Hannah Butland (Cumberland, Maine) placed third in the 50 yard free with a time of 29.57.
- Butland placed second in the 100 yard free with a time of 1:07.47, while Audrey Aragon (Miami, Fla.) finished third with a time of 1:08.27.
- Miller placed second in the 100 yard back with a time of 1:12.14, setting a new program record, while MacGregor finished third with a time of 1:23.13.
- Gellerson finished third in the 100 yard breast with a time of 1:27.05.
- Miller finished second in the 500 yard free with a time of 6:36.59.
- Reny won the 50 yard butterfly with a time of 31.88, while Butland placed second with a time of 33.00.
- Cook-Sharp finished second in the 100 yard IM with a time of 1:15.45, while Aragon finished third with a time of 1:19.52.
The Mariners will return to action on Saturday, December 6 at the Maine State Meet, hosted by Bowdoin College.
