Box Score PRESQUE ISLE, Maine – Kyle Haslam (Lamoine, Maine) scored twice to lead Maine Maritime Academy men's soccer to a commanding 4-0 lead over Maine-Presque Isle on Sunday afternoon.
The Mariners peppered Maine-Presque Isle's net with 38 shots, including 23 on goal en route to the victory. Tom Samson (Waterville, Maine) found Haslam in front of the net, to open up the scoring in the 17th minute. Matt Leblanc (Dayton, Maine) connected with Jack Weeks (Ellsworth, Maine) late in the first half, to double to lead to enter the half.
The Mariners got right back to where they left off in the second half, when Bryan Soucy (Windham, Maine) grabbed an unassisted goal in the 60th minute and Haslam grabbed his second goal of the game less than three minutes later, on a pass from Soucy.
Joshua Reeks (Bedford, N.H.) stopped all two shots that he faced to earn the victory in net for the Mariners, while Caeb Bragg-Grady stopped 15 shots in net for the Owls.
Maine Maritime Academy (1-2) returns home to Ritchie Field to host Colby College this Tuesday, September 8th at 8:00 p.m.
