BANGOR, Maine – Freshman Zachary Kinsman paced Maine Maritime for the second time in as many races, taking second place at the 2014 Husson Harrier Classic. He was the first of three Mariners to finish in the top ten. Southern Maine also placed three in the top ten, edging Maine Maritime by four points for the team trophy.

Running his first eight-kilometer, Kinsman raced to a 29:34.70, finishing second only to Maine-Farmington freshman Connor Wagner. Wagner posted a championship time of 29:16.96 to top the field of 65 finishers.

Southern Maine junior Will Lundquist took third with teammates Kevin Desmond and Chris Dunn grabbing fifth and sixth places, respectively. Maine-Machias' Sully Jackson swiped seventh place before Maine Maritime's Wyatt LaPage and Chase Hughes took eighth and ninth, respectively. LaPage clocked in at 31:13.96, while Hughes came in at 31:37.09.

Southern Maine's Jon Clement grabbed 11^th place points, with Mariners' Spencer Boonstra and Victor Skorapa closely in tow in 13^th and 14^th places. Boonstra posted a mark of 32:06.52 and Skorapa logged a 32:19.01.

Chase Reidelbach and Seth Tacheny each finished in the top 25 to close out Maine Maritime's scoring effort. Reidelbach finished in 20^th place at 34:00.72, while Tacheny put up a time of 34.12.51 for 23^rd.

Maine Maritime returns to the course next Saturday at Bowdoin College.
