BRUNSWICK, Maine – Men's cross country finished fifth out of six teams at Saturday's Bowdoin Invitational hosted by Bowdoin College. Zachary Kinsman (Lebanon, N.H.) led the way for the Mariners on the 8k course finishing 28th overall with a time of 27:48.98.
Host Bowdoin College claimed the team victory, followed by Tufts and Johnson & Wales. Luke O'Connor grabbed the top stop for Tufts, finishing with a time of 25:39.40. Bowdoin College placed the next five runners; senior Kevin Hoose (25:51.92), senior Avery Wentworth (25:58.18), senior Will Ossoff (25:59.79), sophomore Bridger Tomlin (26:02.33) and sophomore Sam Dodge (26:03.38).
Senior Wyatt LaPage (Portsmouth, N.H.) was the next to cross the finish line for Maine Maritime in the 45th spot with a time of 29:54.92, sophomore Spencer Boonstra (Amston, Conn.) placed 46th (29:55.79) and following closely behind was Victor Skorapa (Freeport, Maine) for 47th overall (30:01.29). Chase Hughes (Yarmouth, Maine) placed 49th overall with a time of 30:42.37.
The Mariners will return to action next Saturday, September 20th when they will compete at the Unity Invitational.
