WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass – Maine Maritime men's cross country placed 37th out of 54 teams, on Saturday afternoon at the NCAA Regional Championships held at Williams College.
The Mariners were led by freshman Zachary Kinsman (Lebanon, N.H.) who crossed the finish line in 151st place, among the 373 runners. Kinsman ran the 8k course in a time of 28:05.7.
Sophomore Chase Hughes (Yarmouth, Maine) came in 204th with his time of 29:02.1 followed by junior Chase Reidelbach (Virginia Beach, Va.) who came in 226th place, with a his time of 29:25.0. Spencer Boonstra (Amston, Conn.) was the next finisher for the Mariners, at 262nd place, followed closely by senior Wyatt LaPage (Portsmouth, N.H.) who placed 266th overall, in his final race with the Mariners.
Also for the Mariners, Victor Skorapa (Freeport, Maine) placed 313th and Chase Davidson (Lynnfield, Mass.) finished 332nd.
Colin Cotton claimed the individual victory for the host Williams College with his time of 25:10.0, while Spencer Wenck placed second with a time of 25:15.1 for MIT.
Colby College picked up the team victory, with four runners finishing in the top 20.
