Henniker, N.H. -- Maine Maritime finished in sixth place out of ten teams, at the Mayflower Kickoff hosted by New England College Friday.

George Morrison led the Mariners with a 24th place finish in a field of 123 runners, completing the 5k course in 17:49. Victor Skorapa was 31st (18:25), Chase Reidelbach took 40th (18:54), Wyatt LaPage 45th (19:04), Kyle Huston 47th (19:16) and Nicholas Darling finished 54th at 19:32.

Babson College won the event for the third straight year. The Beavers' Mark Gulesian picked up his third victory in three seasons at the Mayflower Meet, running a time of 16:09. Gordon College's Neal Hulstein finished second at 16:15, edging Colby-Sawyer's Benjamin Bunnell by a single second.

Maine Maritime returns to action next Saturday at Husson University.
