Box Score
WATERVILLE, ME- Top-seeded Thomas ended Maine Maritime Academy's season with a 4-0 win in Wednesday's North Atlantic Conference semifinal. The Terriers advanced to Saturday's championship game against Husson.
Thomas was aggressive from the start struck in the 17th minute when Paul Rechichi headed in a touch from Kenny Cano which gave the Terriers an early 1-0 lead. Thomas made it 2-0 nearly five laters when Dakota DuPlissie netted a shot.
The Mariners created scoring opportunities in the first with six shots on goal. Kyle Haslam, Nicholas George and Chad McDonnell all fired shots on goal but Thomas goalie Mikkal Crockwell stopped all three. Abdullah Alkhayyat managed back-to-back shots on goal, two minutes apart, but Crockwell was to the task and Ben Russell's shot at 37:40 found the crossbar.
The second half was scoreless until the 72nd minute when Marcus Johnson tapped in a Michael Hand bicycle kick attempt. Johnson scored a minute later off a feed from Michael Hand.
Crockwell finished with seven saves in net for Thomas, while Mariner goalie Trace Lacour had four saves.
