Castine, ME - The Mariners from Maine Maritime Academy defeated the Eagles from Green Mountain College 73-50 in a North Atlantic Conference match-up on Friday evening at Margaret Smith Chase Gymnasium.

The Mariners played solid defense holding the Eagles to 37.7% shooting and out rebounded Green Mountain 36-27 en route to the victory. MMA shot 51.7% from the floor and 9-for-15 from beyond the arc (60%) while improving to 7-6 overall and 2-1 in the NAC.

Paul Campbell (Camden, ME) led the Mariners in every category, scoring 15 points, grabbing eight rebounds, dishing out eight assists, and collecting three steals in the win. Andy Ball (Hermon, ME) played well again, scoring 11 points while Sam Bell (Calais, ME) collected nine points and four assists.

Billy Fuel (Bullhead City, AZ) led the Eagles with 12 points while Kenneth Williams (Fort Meyers, FL) chipped in with 11. The eagles fall to 0-7 with the loss and 0-3 in NAC play.
